DISCOVER FLORIDA WALKING TOURS
Florida streets have stories to tell. Listen...
The Florida Humanities Council invites you to take a stroll with "Florida Stories," a free walking tour app featuring multi-stop tours of towns all over the Sunshine State, from Tallahassee to Lake Wales to Key West, illuminating the past and making it personal.
What you'll discover on these tours is fascinating.
On the Fernandina Beach tour, you’ll stop at the Florida House Inn, where famous Cuban Revolutionary Jose Marti plotted insurrection against the Spanish in his native Cuba. Islamorada’s tour reveals the fury of the most powerful hurricane to ever strike North America. Pensacola’s tour includes a visit to the Fort Well, dug in the 1770s, a vital backup source of water.
You can explore the history, culture and architecture of communities you love with these user-friendly tours at your own pace, on your own schedule: on foot, via bike, or even in your car.
You can even check out the tours from the comfort of your home. Download one tour or all of them.
