Helping You Save on Your Holiday: In these current times, everyone wants to save money wherever they can. At 2Bookaholiday, we do all we can to help you keep the costs down. This isn’t just by offering amazing value with our cheap holiday offers but also with good, professional advice.

When should I book my 2025 holiday? There is no exact science to this but booking early certainly has benefits. When flights are first released they are usually at their cheapest prices. You also have the advantage of being able to choose from a wider range of flight times & airlines as well as the best rooms & offers in the best hotels. Booking early will also help you to budget as you can secure your trip from just a low deposit, then pay in equal monthly instalments right up until 4 weeks prior to travel. Don’t fret though. If it’s not possible to book your holiday early then it is still possible to bag yourself a last minute bargain as flights & hotels need to shift seats. You may need to be a little more flexible on your requirements tis all.

What do I need to do after I have booked my holiday? Once your holiday is booked there are other items that need considering such as airport travel and/or parking, travel insurance (absolutely essential, make sure you are covered from that date you book so that it covers cancellation too!), looking after your home and contents (including pets!). Airport parking can be expensive and tends to be cheaper the earlier you book. Don’t forget to look into alternative ways & compare prices to get to the airport such as train, coach, lift from family or friends etc. This may help save. Remember that some airports charge a fee for drop off now too! (Approx £5 each way).

Airline extras: Hold luggage, hand luggage, airport check-in, flight seat selection, onboard catering & entertainment… all these should be considered. Plan to take as little as possible and compare the costs of hand & hold luggage to see what is best for your requirements. Some airlines do ‘bundles’ whereby luggage, seats & meals are all included together at a discount so if you know that you want all of these services, book them all together to save. If you are really looking to scrimp, make-do with hand luggage, there’s nothing wrong with taking your own food & drink onboard and leave the seat selection until online check-in opens. Then make sure that you check-in online as soon as possible so that you are more likely to be seated together and if you are really not happy with the seats you can have more options to change them.

Resort Transfers: Shuttle/coach transfers are usually the cheapest option to pre-book but for the more intrepid of you, why not investigate what the cost & feasibility would be to use public transport when you arrive. Most destinations & resorts are well connected these days. If you want your transfers pre-booked then we offer a range of services & prices from shared coach, to express mini-bus & private or executive taxis. Just look for our friendly local rep in airport arrivals who will take care of you throughout the whole trip.

Choosing your Hotel: Our range of luxury holidays offer fantastic value no matter what you are looking for. To really help with your holiday budget, we advise to go all-inclusive. That way all your meals and drinks in resort are covered meaning that you just need money for souvenirs! Our all-inclusive range is second to none. Get in touch with our experts who will help point you in the right direction.

Anything else? Let us know if you would like advice on anything else or if we have missed anything.

Tobago is the unspoilt, untouched Caribbean island where the undiscovered waits around every corner. What may surprise you more, are the 101 unforgettable activities, authentic experiences and thrilling adventures that take you beyond ordinary.

Everything that you’ve ever dreamed about the Caribbean can be found in idyllic Tobago – a warm welcome from friendly locals going the extra mile to make you feel truly at home, secluded white sand beaches lazily lapped by sky blue oceans, the distant sound of music drifting on a warm tropical breeze, breath-taking natural beauty and striking wildlife.

Local Culture, People & Heritage

Tobago has a fascinating history. Its heritage, vibrant culture and relaxed people make it an attractive proposition for travellers who want to get the true flavour of their destination – whether that’s tasting local foods (curried crab and dumplings are a must!), venturing to historic colonial forts, attending the famous Buccoo Goat and Crab Races or whiling away an afternoon liming like a local. ‘The concept of liming encompasses any leisure activity entailing the sharing of food and drink, the exchange of tall stories, jokes and anecdotes etc.

The people of Tobago are fiercely protective of their culture and have avoided the over-development that many other islands in the Caribbean have engaged in, giving it a very rustic charm that is no longer found in other islands.

Sea & Beaches

Tobago’s water adventures range from diving – the calm waters and excellent dive operators make it a perfect place for kids and adults alike to learn to dive. Paddle-boarding to boat-trips and the secluded nature of the island’s stunning unspoilt beaches will appeal to all. Some of those beaches are genuinely untouched, only accessible by boat or require a strenuous hike through the forest to work up a sweat followed by a cooling swim. Although, it’s not that cooling as the sea temperatures are so warm!

Eco Adventure & Nature

Tobago is one of the finest spots for nature anywhere in the Caribbean. Tobago’s lush and protected rainforest is the island’s emerald blanket. Venture beyond the treeline and you’ll be rewarded with glimpses of the island’s natural wildlife and chances for thrilling adventures. Nature lovers, thrill-seekers and specific interest groups like birders flock to see the white-tailed sabrewing hummingbird and the rufous-vented chachalaca or cocrico, (Tobago’s national bird) – just two of the island’s 260 bird species. Take an easy hike to Parlatuvier, Argyle or Highlands Falls, just three of the many dotted around the island, or join a night-time kayak tour through Bon Accord lagoon where every paddle stroke creates an explosion of bioluminescence caused by the microscopic plankton in the water.

Romance & Weddings

Thinking of weddings, vow renewals or special celebrations – in Tobago you’ll find the perfect backdrop for a romantic escape or dream barefoot beach weddings. With stunning scenery, romantic bolt hole accommodation and many on-island services which offer wedding planning packages, giving couples the opportunity to have their wedding, their way.

Go Plan

Craft an extraordinary escape with a conveniently scheduled flight and charming accommodations perfectly suited to your needs. Your journey to paradise begins here. Tobago is served by British Airways from Gatwick twice a week year round, except for June and September when the service operates at once a week. At Going Luxury we have offers available on our website. Check them out.

Different beyond what an everyday sun and beach destination can offer, Lanzarote is an island where nature and art go hand in hand. Lanzarote is where people live and feel the commitment of belonging, where food tastes of the sea and land and where leisure events are as unique as the island itself. In short, it is a place whose essence leaves its mark.

SUSTAINABILITY

The unique model of development that the island has experienced, with sustained economic growth and with clear protection and conservation of nature and the environment, has helped it to obtain several awards for sustainability. Thus, in October 1993, it was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, while in April 2015, the same body awarded the island the title of “Lanzarote and Chinijo Archipelago Geopark “, granted unanimously by the Coordinating Committee of the European Geoparks Network at the meeting held in France.

This was the definitive confirmation of the islanders’ long hard work to maintain one of their most definitive and identifying features: their continued commitment to respect for and conservation of their environment.

SURROUNDED BY NATURE

The Art, Culture and Tourism Centres of Lanzarote (CACT), are integrated into the volcanic nature of the island and constitute its main tourist benchmark. These centres are a must-visit to get to know the true essence of Lanzarote. César Manrique, a local artist with an international reputation, made them unique by perfectly combining Art and Nature under a philosophy and a model of intervention based on sustainability.

The Jardín de Cactus is home to around 4,500 cactus plants of 450 different species, grouped into 13 families of cactus from five continents. This was the artist César Manrique’s final intervention and represents a magnificent example of architecture integrated into the landscape.

HEALTH AND WELLBEING

Your battery indicator has been flashing a worrying red for a few months now. You’ve lost too much weight. Or put on too much weight. You’re irritable. You’ve been having a hard time getting to sleep and unsuspected parts of your body have contracted with tension.

It’s gone far enough. Time to act.

You need to recharge your batteries, so your next holiday will be all about pleasure and health. Priority: feeling good.

Check our special offer Lanzarote holidays here.

GOZO HOLIDAYS

Malta’s sister island, Gozo, is definitely worth a visit, either as a stand-alone destination or else for a day trip, using one of the ferry-boats connecting the islands. Visitors can experience old traditions such as the milking of goats and sheep and watch as this milk is prepared into traditional Gozitan cheese.

The Ġgantija Temples
For an even OLDER historical site, stop by and have a wander around these temples. Dating back to 3200BC and 3600BC, the temples are recognised as a UNESCO heritage site.

Ta’ Kola Windmill
A cute photo spot just by the temples. Or if windmills interest you, head inside for a tour!

The Saltpans
These saltpans can be found in various places on Gozo. They are just by the edges of the cliff, where the waves can come crashing over and the salt is left deposited in the salt pans. The most famous salt pans can be found at Xwejni Bay. These are an 8-minute drive or a 30-minute walk from Wied il-Għasri.

Ta’ Pinu Basilica
A unique basilica surrounded by countryside, this is the perfect stop before sunset. Be sure to check the opening hours beforehand if you are interested in visiting inside.

Ramla Beach
You could spend a whole day here! If you have time, head to the beach for a dip and a paddle to work up an appetite for your next delicious seafood extravaganza! As Gozo is only a small island it is quite easy to get around. However, everywhere is so beautiful that you may lose track of time, so make sure you catch the ferry back to Malta on time!

Dwejra Bay
This is a rocky bay on the west coast of Gozo. It is home to a small inland sea, where you can dive and have a paddle. The diving site is called the Blue Hole and is a long tunnel through the rock, around 25 meters deep. You will also find the Azure window ruins here, this was a very famous rock formation that collapsed in 2017. Then last but not least, the sunset! The sunset can be seen from all spots at Dwejra Bay, so you won’t be disappointed. The bus also stops right by the bay, very convenient!

The Citadel
The Citadel Gozo is an absolute must visit. Also know as Castella or Citadella, it is the old capital city of the island of Gozo. It lies adjacent to Rabat and is just five minutes uphill from the central square.

Pressed for time? Malta is the ideal city break location for anyone wishing to take a few days in paradise. Whether it’s adventure, culture, gastronomy or simply pampering that you’re craving, you’ll find everything you need at your fingertips.

VALLETTA

Start at the Triton Fountain and walk towards the main entrance to Valletta. The fairly new City Gate is the fifth one to have stood here, and was built between 2011 and 2014. The original gate dated back to 1566. Once you pass through the gates, continue straight to reach the centre of Valletta, or turn right and head towards the Upper Barrakka Gardens.

Upper Barrakka Gardens
These are stunning public gardens with views over the entire harbour. The gardens are found on two levels, with a lift and a short walk making the Lower Barrakka Gardens accessible. From here you will also have a great view over the Three Cities – Vittoriosa, Senglea and Cospicua.

The gardens are a perfect photo spot, with the viewpoint and beautiful architecture, as well as lovely flowers all around. There is a small cafe here too, so feel free to sit down and relax and take your time.

Lower Barrakka Gardens
These gardens are equally beautiful and full of history. Again with great views of the Grand Harbour, from here you can walk towards Fort St Elmo.

Fort St. Elmo
The fort is now home to the National War museum and a hub for all things historical. The fortress was constructed in 1552 and has a very unique star shape.

The Three Cities
Vittoriosa, Senglea and Cospicua are also known as Birgu, L-Isla and Bormla. Make sure to remember this or you may get very confused when you try to visit one of them! Two of the cities are small peninsulas, both facing the Valletta waterfront. The cities are fortified, so again full of history, forts and incredible architecture.

MALTESE LOCAL PASTIZZI

These tiny purses of glistening pastry are the very essence of local street food and an awesome introduction to the Island’s rich and colourful cuisine. Though guaranteed to satisfy even the strongest of hunger pangs, stopping at one is much more easily said than done.

When it comes to fillings, one can choose between piżelli (curried peas mashed to a tantalizingly soft consistency, with a slightly salty punch), or the phenomenally creamy local ricotta cheese. For those craving something slightly sweeter, there are nutella ones too.

In Europe’s best beach destination, you can do much more than laying a towel out in the sun. Thanks to the sea, unique landscapes, unspoiled nature, culture, tradition and friendly people, you can be sure of enjoying unique and varied experiences. Here we share secrets of holidays to The Algarve.

Set in the south of Portugal, along a long line of coast. We are sure you have already heard about it. Perhaps a friend told you about its magnificent beaches. Maybe you saw a report about its typically Mediterranean cuisine. Or it could be that you simply came across a text like this one, which highlights the history, culture and friendliness of those who are used to giving visitors the warmest of welcomes.

Algarve Sports: You do not have to wait until summer to come to the Algarve to take part in sports or other outdoor activities. Throughout the region, and all year long, you can interact with the natural environment by playing sport in the healthy and intoxicating atmosphere of the Algarve.

Be it at the ocean shore, in the Barrocal, or in the picturesque mountains, the Algarve brings together the perfect conditions that enable a huge range of marine, land and aerial activities; some just for fun, some more adventurous, others more radical still.

Apart from the fine geography and climate with which it is blessed, the Algarve is also equipped with the most diverse and modern infrastructure to support outdoor activities. As a result, the whole region is now firmly on the map of Portuguese sporting destinations.

Algarve Golf: Golfing days on Portugal’s Algarve are sheer bliss and remain in the memory long after the holiday is over. Generations of golfers have headed for Portugal’s southern coast, lured by 300 days of sunshine, high quality accommodation, a friendly laid back atmosphere, superb scenery and 40 of the best golf courses to be found anywhere in the world.

Most of the golf is clustered less than 30 minutes from Faro airport around Quinta da Lago and Vilamoura Marina where you can find every facility needed to make your holiday perfect. However, there are undiscovered treasures to be found both westwards along the rugged coastline towards Sagres and on the tranquil eastern side where pristine golf courses nestle between timeless whitewashed villages and world acclaimed nature reserves teeming with wildlife.

Not only is The Algarve a “must” for the amateur golfer, the quality of its courses have attracted some of the world’s top professionals and tournaments such as the World Cup in 2005 and Portugal Masters add kudos to its golf.

Check our Portugal Holidays to The Algarve here.
