Overview

About DUBROVNIK PALACE

Situated on the beautiful peninsula of Lapad, the hotel’s dramatic cliff side location, below the aromatic, pine-covered Petka woods, affords spectacular views in every direction. From afar, the hotel resembles a huge ship, and we have made every effort to ensure that it blends harmoniously with its surrounds, with carefully selected wood and natural stone accents. Ornate tapestries hang either side of the reception area, two of many modern artworks by local and national Croatian artists that line the walls of the hotel.

Dining & Bars

Bars

Sunset Lounge

Adjacent to the hotel reception is the Sunset Lounge, with a panoramic view like no other. Arrive just before sunset and take a seat for the daily spectacle for which Dubrovnik is famed. As day turns to night and the sky glows burnt orange, settle back in your armchair, enjoy a sundowner from the comprehensive drinks menu and admire the huge painting by Croatia’s best-known artist, Eduardo Murtić, while a pianist plays gently in the background.

Lanterna Glorijet Bar

Overlooking the pool, beyond which – mere steps away – is the Adriatic Sea, swim up to Lanterna Glorijet Bar and enjoy your favourite drink or coffee while cooling off in the water. When the sun goes down, Lanterna turns into a laidback bar, where the happy chatter of guests enjoying a cool beer or freshly prepared cocktails rises over the chilled-out music playing in the background.

Vala Beach Bar

Located in the separate VIP area, Vala Beach Bar offers you complete tranquillity. The second of our poolside bars, it serves a wide selection of refreshments and light lunches during the summer season. It is also the venue for our Stars Beneath the Stars evening, a programme of summer concerts.

Dining

Traditional Dalmatian Tavern

Serving lunch and dinner every day during the summer months, Maslina is our traditional Dubrovnik-style tavern, where the atmosphere is relaxed, the menu is filled with hearty Mediterranean and Dalmatian dishes, such as Adriatic scampi and braised lamb shank, and gentle sea breezes remind you that you are just metres from the sea. From June to September, we offer a programme of live music five evenings a week, ranging from bossa nova to the blues.

Lean & Light

Health-conscious guests will love our Lean & Light concept – our restaurant on the 10th floor, serving smoothies, raw foods, fish, light salads and low-fat desserts. With magnificent views of the Elaphite islands and the lighthouse directly in front of the hotel, the number of calories, fats, sugars and carbohydrates in each dish are displayed on the menu. Lean & Light is also a popular place for post-dinner drinks and a late-night bite to eat.

Beach Restaurant Ponta

Overlooking the magical Mediterranean landscape, Beach Restaurant Ponta is open from lunchtime until early evening. A cosy spot for enjoying lunch in the warm Croatian sunshine.

Elafiti Restaurant

The main restaurant at the Hotel Dubrovnik Palace, Elafiti is a big, airy dining room, with panoramic windows looking out across the sea to the islands after which it was named. Wake up to lots of choice at the buffet breakfast, with a wide range of freshly prepared local, international and Continental options. After the sun goes down, the restaurant is transformed into an elegant space in which to enjoy a delicious Mediterranean buffet.
