Golden Triangle Sample Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive at New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. A Dnata representative meets you at the airport arrival hall and escorts you to your hotel in air-conditioned vehicle. Check in at your hotel in Delhi for 2 nights & enjoy Delhi – City of two parts – Old and New Delhi. Old Delhi was the capital of Muslim India between the 17th and 19th centuries and has many mosques, monuments and forts. New Delhi created by the British in 1911 as capital of India and flaunts a surprising number of impressive monuments related to its conquests by the Mughals, Turks, Persians and the British.
Day 2 – Breakfast – Morning combined tour of Old & New Delhi .Visit the Jama Masjid, the royal mosque built by the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in 1656. Drive past Red fort, also built by Shah Jahan in 1648. Enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk the spine of Old Delhi. Drive through the majestic boulevards of New Delhi which include the grand government buildings The Rashtrapati Bhavan (Presidential Palace) is where the Viceroy once lived. Continue to Humayun’s Tomb, the first great example of Mughal architecture in India – Culminate your tour at Qutab Minar, a soaring tower of victory. Return to hotel to overnight
Day 3 – After breakfast, drive to Agra through covering a distance of 200kms in approx. 3-4 hours. Agra: Two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and Shah Jahan, transformed the little village of Agra into a befitting second capital of the Mughal Empire. Arrive at Agra and check-in at your hotel for an overnight. Afternoon enjoy city tour of Agra- visit Taj Mahal & Agra Fort.
Day 4 – Breakfast at hotel. Later drive to Jaipur covering a distance of 260kms in approx. 6 hours. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri the deserted red sandstone city. Continue your drive to Jaipur. Arrive in Jaipur and check-in at your hotel for 2 nights. Rest of the day at leisure. Meals Included – Breakfast. Overnight Hotel.
Day 5 – Morning enjoy an excursion to the magnificent Amber Fort on Elephant back. Later enjoy an orientation tour of Jaipur. Visit old market area on cycle rickshaw. Meals included: Breakfast – overnight hotel.
Day 6-11 – Jaipur to Delhi or Goa. Morning free. Enjoy 4-nights in 4-5 star luxury hotel or move on to new destinations of your choice before travelling home.
